1. ℹ️ About LINCOO
What is LINCOO?
LINCOO is a browser extension that lets you place stickies, memos, tasks, bookmarks, and notes directly on the web pages where you work.
Instead of saving information in one app and trying to find it later, LINCOO brings the right information back to you on the page where you need it.
It is designed to reduce those "Where did I save that?" moments and make browser-based work smoother.
What can LINCOO do?
LINCOO has five main features:
- Stickies — Place eye-catching notes on a page that stay visible until you clear them
- Memos — Keep detailed information connected to a specific page
- Notes — Save personal notes linked to the page you are viewing
- Tasks — Manage to-dos across six statuses: Not started, In progress, Waiting, On hold, Done, and Canceled
- Bookmarks — Show related links on the page where you need them
You can search all of these from one list.
After creating an account, you can also share stickies, memos, comments, and more with people in your space. Even on the free plan, each space can have up to 999 members and 10,000 items.
Who is LINCOO for?
LINCOO is useful for anyone who does a lot of work in a browser.
For example, it works well for people who switch between many admin screens, such as e-commerce operations, ad management, SaaS sales, customer support, and internal operations. It is also useful for teams that need to share page-specific information or train new staff.
For personal use, LINCOO can also work as a strong reminder tool. Stickies stay visible until you clear them, and you can keep your own private notes on the pages you use often.
A key benefit is that you can keep shared team information and your own private notes on the same page, without mixing them up.
How is LINCOO different from a regular notes app or browser bookmarks?
Most notes apps and bookmarks work like this: save something now, then go find it later.
LINCOO works the other way around. When you open a page, the related information appears right there.
You can also invite people to your space and show information on their browsers too. This makes it easier to share updates, pass along useful workflows, and keep everyone on the same page.
How is LINCOO different from chat tools like Slack or Chatwork?
In chat tools, messages keep moving, so important information can get buried or missed.
A LINCOO sticky stays on the relevant page until it is dismissed. That makes important information much harder to overlook.
The key difference is simple: when someone opens the page they are working on, the message they need is already waiting there.
How is LINCOO different from Notion or Evernote?
Notion and Evernote are great places to store information.
LINCOO is different because it focuses on showing information directly on the page where the work happens.
For example, when you open a product page in Shopify, the notes for that page can appear right there. You do not need to open a separate knowledge base or search through another tool.
Can I use LINCOO personally, or is it only for teams?
Both.
You can use LINCOO by yourself for study notes, shopping research, reminders, or personal organization. You can also use it with a team or company to share information.
Because data is separated by space, you can keep different uses apart, such as "Work" and "Personal."
2. 💳 Pricing & Plans
Is LINCOO free?
LINCOO has a free plan and a paid Pro plan.
Most standard features are available for free with no time limit. You can start with the free plan and upgrade to Pro when you need more advanced features.
What can I do on the free plan?
On the free plan, you can:
- Create up to 3 spaces
- Sync data across multiple devices
- Share a space with up to 999 members
- Use stickies, memos, notes, tasks, bookmarks, and comments
- Create up to 10,000 items per space
- Search across all item types from one list
Deleted items do not count toward the 10,000-item limit.
Please note that the free plan includes ads inside the app.
What does the Pro plan include?
The Pro plan is purchased per space. It costs $5 per month per person in that space.
Upgrading to Pro removes free-plan limits and unlocks features for team operations.
Main Pro features include:
- Unlimited use — Unlimited items and groups
- Longer logs and history — Audit logs, edit history, and deleted data recovery are kept for up to 3 years instead of 30 days
- CSV export — Export logs and records when needed
- Advanced security — Set login controls such as IP restrictions, region restrictions, time-based restrictions, and device restrictions
- Posting permission controls — Admins can control who can post in each area
- Team management — See who completed a sticky and track team activity
- No ads — Remove ads from the app
In short, Pro is for teams that need unlimited use, longer history, stronger security, team controls, and an ad-free experience.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade anytime from the Plan Management screen in the app.
What payment methods are available?
Pro plan payments are made by credit card through Stripe.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel anytime from the management page in the app.
Payments that have already been made are not refundable. After canceling, you can continue using paid features until the end of your current billing period.
Are there annual contracts or discounts?
LINCOO is billed monthly. There are no annual contracts.
Discounts may be offered from time to time through support campaigns.
3. 🚀 Getting Started & Setup
What should I do first?
First, install the LINCOO extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Right after installation, you can try stickies and notes without creating an account. In guest mode, your data is saved only inside your browser.
To use all features, such as syncing and member sharing, create a free account.
How do I create an account?
After installing the extension, click the LINCOO icon in your browser toolbar to open the sign-up screen.
There are three ways to get started:
- Sign up with Google — Use your Google account
- Sign up with email — Register with your email address and password
- Join an invited space — Enter an invitation code if someone has invited you
To join a space by invitation, ask the space admin to send an invitation to your email address. Then install the extension and register using the invitation code you receive.
Can I log in with Google?
Yes. LINCOO supports Sign in with Google.
You can log in with your Google account without creating a separate LINCOO password.
Where can I get the extension?
You can install LINCOO from the Chrome Web Store or the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store.
After installation, the LINCOO icon will appear in your browser toolbar.
Which browsers are supported?
LINCOO supports:
- Google Chrome, latest version recommended
- Microsoft Edge, Chromium-based, latest version recommended
How do I update my profile?
Click the extension icon and open Settings.
From Settings, you can update your profile image, display name, email address, and password.
4. 🗂️ Spaces
What is a space?
A space is a shared workspace that holds your LINCOO items, such as stickies, memos, notes, tasks, and bookmarks.
Members and data are separated by space, so you can organize information by purpose. For example, you can create spaces for "Personal," "Team," or "Project."
You can also join a space created by someone else using an invitation code.
Can I create multiple spaces?
Yes.
You can create up to 3 spaces. This limit is the same on both the free and Pro plans.
Can I separate work and personal use?
Yes.
When you separate work and personal use into different spaces, their members and items stay separate. This helps keep information organized and prevents different uses from getting mixed together.
Is data shared between spaces?
No.
Items are managed separately for each space. Stickies, memos, tasks, and other items from one space do not appear in another space.
Members of one space also cannot see data from another space.
How do I switch between spaces?
Click the LINCOO extension icon. The current space name appears at the top of the screen.
Click the space name to open your space list, then choose the space you want to switch to.
From the same list, you can also create a new space or join another space with an invitation code.
Can I change the space name later?
Yes.
You can change the space name and image from the Admin Console.
What happens if I delete a space?
When you delete a space, all items inside that space are deleted.
A deleted space cannot be restored. Before deleting a space, please export any data you need.
5. 👥 Inviting Members & Permissions
How do I invite members?
You can invite members from the Admin Console.
Only admins and managers can send invitations. Enter the person's email address, and they can join the space using the invitation code.
Do invitations expire?
Yes.
Invitations are valid for 7 days after they are sent. If an invitation expires, ask an admin or manager to send a new one.
What if the invitation email does not arrive?
Please check the following:
- The email may be in the spam or junk folder
- The email address may have been entered incorrectly
- The invitation may have expired
If it still does not arrive, ask the admin who invited you to check the address and send it again.
What permission roles are available?
There are four member roles:
- Admin
- Manager
- User
- Guest
One admin is also the owner of the space. The owner role is explained in Chapter 6.
What can each role do?
Here is a simple overview:
- Admin — Can manage the space and use all main features
- Manager — Can help manage members and groups
- User — Can create and use items, but cannot use admin features
- Guest — Can view information only
For common actions such as creating stickies or memos, permissions may also be adjusted per member, even within the same role.
Can permissions be changed later?
Yes.
An admin can change a member's role in that space at any time.
What happens when I remove a member?
If you remove a member, the items they created remain in the space.
You can also invite the same email address again later.
What is the Guest role for?
Guests have view-only access.
They cannot create or edit items. This role is useful when you want someone to see information without changing it, such as an outside partner or client.
6. 👑 Owner Role
What is the owner?
The owner is the person ultimately responsible for a space.
One of the admins is the owner. Admins can manage many things, but only the owner can perform critical space-level actions, such as deleting the space or transferring ownership.
Who becomes the owner?
The person who creates the space first becomes the owner.
Can I transfer ownership?
Yes.
The owner can transfer ownership to another admin in the same space.
The recipient must approve the transfer, and the request is valid for 7 days. For security, the current owner must enter their password when requesting the transfer.
What actions are limited to the owner?
The owner can:
- Delete the space
- Transfer ownership
- Edit the space image, along with admins
Also, when changing an email address, regular members need admin approval. The owner can change their own email address without approval.
What happens if the owner leaves the company?
The owner cannot remove themselves from the space while they are still the owner.
If the owner is leaving the company or handing off responsibility, they should transfer ownership to another admin first. After the transfer is complete, they can leave the space.
7. 📌 Using Stickies
How do I create a sticky?
Open New Sticky from the extension icon to show the creation panel.
At minimum, you only need to enter a message. You can also set:
- Recipient — Choose a person by name or email
- Visibility — Choose who can see it, such as Only me or Everyone
- Details — Add extra information, up to 500 characters
- Theme color — Choose the sticky color
- Large sticky — Make the sticky larger and more noticeable
- Match type / Target URL — Choose which pages the sticky appears on
- Detail link — Add a related URL
- Schedule — Set when the sticky should appear
When you are ready, click Register to create the sticky.
The shorter the message, the larger the text appears on the sticky.
Stickies are the most noticeable item in LINCOO. Use them for information you really want people to see.
How do I choose where a sticky appears?
In the Match Type setting, you can choose where the sticky appears:
- Page — Show it only on a specific URL
- Domain — Show it across an entire site, such as all pages on shopify.com
- All pages — Show it on every page you open
The target URL is filled in automatically from the page where you create the sticky, but you can edit it manually.
You can also shorten part of the URL to match a wider range of pages.
Can I change the color or size of a sticky?
Yes.
You can choose from over 70 colors on both the free and Pro plans. This includes standard colors, neon colors, and bright colors.
You can also choose between standard and large stickies. Large stickies appear bigger and closer to the center of the screen, so they are useful for urgent messages or important reminders.
How do I clear a sticky?
Click Done on a sticky to remove it from your screen.
For shared stickies, this only clears it for you. It will still appear for other members who have not cleared it yet.
Can I bring back a sticky I cleared?
Yes.
You can view cleared, hidden, snoozed, and past stickies from the sticky list in the item list.
Do stickies have snooze?
Yes.
You can temporarily hide a sticky without clearing it.
There are two ways to snooze:
- Snooze all stickies — Click the menu at the top right of a sticky, or the eye button on the sticky panel, to hide all stickies for 2 hours
- Snooze one sticky — Click the clock icon on a sticky and choose a snooze time from 5 minutes to 12 hours
When the snooze time ends, the sticky appears again.
This is useful when you want to come back to something later without letting it block your work.
How does sticky visibility work?
You can choose who sees a sticky:
- Only me — A private sticky only you can see
- Specific person — Send a sticky to one member
- Group — Show the sticky to members of a selected group
- Everyone — Show the sticky to everyone in the space
A sticky sent to a specific person also appears on your own screen.
Shared stickies are cleared per person. For example, if Alice clears a sticky, it can still remain visible for Bob and Carol until they clear it themselves.
Where can I see all stickies?
You can see stickies from the sticky list in the item list.
The list includes active, hidden, snoozed, cleared, and past stickies.
To keep the screen from getting too crowded, LINCOO shows up to 5 standard stickies and up to 3 large stickies on one page. Stickies beyond that limit will not appear on the page, but you can still find them in the sticky list.
Who can edit or delete a sticky?
Only the creator can edit a sticky.
The creator and admins can delete a sticky.
What is a scheduled sticky?
A scheduled sticky lets you choose when a sticky appears.
You can set it from Schedule in the creation panel.
Options include:
- Date and time — Show a sticky at a specific time
- Repeat — Choose Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly
- Time zone — Choose each device's local time or a fixed time zone
For shared stickies, a fixed time zone is recommended.
For example, you can show a weekly checklist every Monday morning.
Can I add comments to stickies?
Yes.
You can add comments to stickies for follow-ups, questions, or extra details.
Comments are visible to everyone who can see that sticky. If there are unread comments, clicking the unread indicator marks them as read.
Can I react to a sticky?
Yes.
You can add an emoji reaction to a sticky. The reaction appears on the sticky, and members can see who reacted.
This is useful for quick replies like "Got it" or "On it" without writing a comment.
Can I use mentions?
Yes.
You can use @ to mention a specific person in a sticky or comment.
When someone is mentioned, the item is added to their unread mention list on the toolbar. This makes it easier to make sure the right person sees it.
8. 📝 Using Memos
How do I create a memo?
You can create a memo in two ways:
- Select Create from Memos & Bookmarks on the toolbar
- Click the plus button in the small window at the bottom right of the screen
A memo has a title and body. The body can be up to 3,000 characters.
Like stickies, memos can be tied to a specific page, an entire domain, or all pages. You can also choose whether they are private or shared.
What is the difference between stickies and memos?
Stickies and memos can both be connected to pages, but they are used differently.
- Sticky — Best for short, important information you want to notice right away
- Memo — Best for detailed information you want to open when needed
Use stickies for alerts, urgent messages, and reminders.
Use memos for procedures, work notes, account details, past work history, or longer explanations.
Where do memos appear?
Memos appear together with bookmarks in the small window at the bottom right of the screen.
This lets you see related links, page information, and work notes in one place.
Memo titles appear in a list. You can hover over a title to preview its content, or click it to open the full memo.
This keeps your screen clean while still making details easy to access when you need them.
Can I search memos?
Yes.
You can search memos by keyword.
Even if you only remember that you wrote something "somewhere," you can search words like "invoice," "inventory," or a company name.
You can also open the original page from the memo, so you can move both ways: from the page to the information, or from the information back to the page.
Can I share memos with other members?
Yes.
You can choose who can see a memo:
- Personal — Only you can see it
- Group — Members of a selected group can see it
- Everyone — Everyone in the space can see it
Memos are helpful for sharing knowledge that tends to stay in one person's head. They are also useful for training new staff.
LINCOO also has a similar feature called Notes. Memos can be private or shared, while Notes are always personal. See Chapter 9 for details.
Can I format memo text?
Yes.
Memo text supports formatting such as bold, highlights, text color, text size, and links.
This helps you make important parts stand out and keep longer information easy to read.
9. 📓 Using Notes
What is a note?
A note is a personal record that only you can see.
You can use notes for ideas, drafts, work history, study notes, and anything else you want to keep for yourself.
The main difference from a memo is sharing. Memos can be private or shared, but notes are always private.
A simple way to think about it is:
- Use memos for information you may want to share
- Use notes for records you want to keep for yourself
How do I create a note?
Create a note from the toolbar, and you can start writing right away.
There are two types of notes:
- Page Note — A note connected to the page you are viewing
- Free Note — A note that is not connected to a specific page
When you create a Page Note, the page URL is saved automatically.
Free Notes are useful for ideas, daily reports, planning, and organizing your thoughts.
Can I edit or add to a note later?
Yes.
You can edit a note after creating it. You can also add updates using comments.
Comments are useful when you want to keep the original note and add new information over time.
For example, in ad management, you could keep a record like: first idea, test results, improvements, and final outcome.
Notes can work like a handoff to your future self.
Can I search and manage notes?
Yes.
You can search notes from the item list by keyword, creation date, related URL, and more.
This helps prevent the common problem of writing something down but not being able to find it later.
You can also download notes in bulk.
Can I use images or tables in notes?
No.
Notes do not support images or tables.
However, notes support text formatting such as bold, highlights, text color, text size, and links.
Can I co-edit notes with my team?
No.
Notes are personal and cannot be shared or edited together.
For information you want to share with your team, use memos.
10. 🔖 Using Bookmarks
How do I add a bookmark?
You can create a bookmark from Memos & Bookmarks on the toolbar, or from the plus button in the small window at the bottom right of the screen.
In the creation panel, enter a display name and link URL.
You can also set:
- Match type / Target page URL — Choose where the bookmark appears
- Open method — Open in a new tab or the current tab
- Description — Add a short description shown on hover
Bookmarks use the same page-targeting and sharing settings as memos.
How is this different from browser bookmarks?
There are two main differences.
First, you can choose where a LINCOO bookmark appears.
Browser bookmarks usually show the same list everywhere. LINCOO lets you show a link only on the pages where it is useful.
Second, LINCOO helps prevent too many tabs.
When you click a LINCOO bookmark, if that page is already open, LINCOO moves you to the existing tab instead of opening another one.
It may sound small, but it saves time when you work with many tabs every day.
LINCOO does not use folders or tags. Instead, bookmarks are organized by where they appear.
What is a mutual bookmark?
A mutual bookmark connects a set of pages you often use together.
For example, you might register a project's Notion manual, Slack channel, Google Doc, and AI project page as mutual bookmarks. Then each page shows links to the other pages in the set.
This lets you move between related pages with one click.
You can register up to 7 pages in one group. You can also add a group name and description to make it easier to manage.
Can I organize bookmarks with folders or tags?
LINCOO does not currently support folders or tags.
Instead, you organize bookmarks by choosing where each one appears.
For pages you often use together, you can also use mutual bookmarks.
Can I share bookmarks with members?
Yes.
Like memos, bookmarks can be shared with:
- Personal — Only you can use it
- Group — Members of a selected group can use it
- Everyone — Everyone in the space can use it
You can also choose the sharing range for mutual bookmarks. This makes it easy to share a full set of related project pages with your team.
11. ✅ Using Tasks
What is a task?
A task is a lightweight way to manage things you need to do in the browser.
You can use tasks by yourself, or share them with a group or the whole space.
Like memos and bookmarks, tasks can be:
- Personal
- Shared with a group
- Shared with everyone
This makes tasks useful for both personal to-dos and simple team progress tracking.
How do task statuses work?
Tasks have six statuses:
- Not started — Work has not started yet
- In progress — Someone is working on it
- Waiting — Waiting for a reply, confirmation, materials, or another person's action
- On hold — Progress is paused
- Done — Completed
- Canceled — Stopped without completion
The statuses are simple on purpose, so you can update them quickly and understand progress at a glance.
Can I add a related URL to a task?
Yes.
You can add a related URL to a task.
This lets you open related pages, such as admin screens, case pages, Slack, Notion, or spreadsheets, directly from the task.
LINCOO tasks do not currently support due dates. They are designed for lightweight progress tracking, not detailed scheduling.
Should I use a task or a sticky?
Both can be used for to-dos, but they work differently.
- Sticky — Appears automatically on a page. Good for quick actions, reminders, and things you do not want to miss
- Task — Managed with a status. Good for work that takes time, needs tracking, or is not urgent
In short, use a sticky when something needs to stand out. Use a task when you want to track progress.
How do comments work on tasks?
You can add comments to tasks.
Comments are useful for updates such as:
- What has been done
- What changed
- Who you are waiting for
- What should happen next
You can also mention someone with @ in a comment. When mentioned, the task is added to that person's mention list.
This keeps progress updates, questions, answers, and follow-ups together in one place.
Can I make urgent tasks stand out?
Yes.
When creating a task, check Urgent to add a fire mark to the task and move it higher in the list.
Use this for urgent or high-priority tasks.
12. 💬 Shared Features: Comments, Reactions, Mentions, Favorites
These features are shared across several LINCOO items. Availability depends on the item type.
Where can I add comments?
You can add comments to stickies, tasks, and notes.
Comments are useful for progress updates, extra details, questions, and follow-ups.
You can also reply to comments, which makes conversations easier to follow.
Memos and bookmarks do not currently support comments.
How do mentions work?
Mentions can be used in stickies, tasks, and comments.
Type @ and choose a member to mention them.
Mentions are useful when you want to make sure a specific person notices something.
How do I know when I am mentioned?
When someone mentions you, the item appears in your mention list on the toolbar.
Unread counts are also shown, so mentions are hard to miss.
From the list, you can jump directly to the sticky or task.
How many reaction types are available?
Reactions are available on stickies.
You can choose an emoji from the emoji panel and leave a quick response, such as "Got it" or "On it."
The emoji appears on the sticky, and members can see who reacted.
Can comments be edited or deleted?
You can edit and delete comments you wrote.
Admins can also delete comments written by other members.
What is a favorite?
Favorites let you mark important or frequently used items with a star.
Favorites are available on stickies, tasks, notes, and comments.
Click the star on an item to add it to your Favorites list on the toolbar.
From the Favorites list, you can jump back to the item quickly. This helps you keep important things within easy reach.
13. 🫂 Groups
What is a group?
A group is a way to organize members inside a space.
Use groups when you want certain information to appear only for specific members.
For example, you can create groups by project, department, or training group.
A member can belong to multiple groups. For example, an admin can join all groups to keep an overview of the whole space.
How do I create a group?
Admins and managers can create groups and add members to them.
On the free plan, you can create up to 3 groups per space. On the Pro plan, you can create unlimited groups.
Can I share items by group?
Yes.
You can set stickies, memos, bookmarks, and tasks to appear only for a selected group.
For example, on the same company portal page, you could:
- Show onboarding bookmarks only to new staff
- Show urgent project announcements only to a project group
- Share tasks only with the team responsible for that work
Groups help you show each person only the information they need.
Who can edit groups?
Admins and managers can create groups, edit groups, and add members.
Users and guests cannot create or edit groups.
14. 🔍 Search
LINCOO helps you store many types of information in your browser. As your information grows, search helps you find what you need quickly without relying on memory.
Can I search across stickies, memos, notes, bookmarks, and tasks?
Yes.
You can search in two ways:
- Search by item type — Search only stickies, only memos, and so on
- Search all items — Search across stickies, memos, notes, bookmarks, and tasks at once
Search all items is useful when you remember writing something down, but do not remember where.
How does keyword search work?
Enter a keyword to find items that contain it.
To search with multiple keywords, separate them with spaces.
For example, searching "Company A invoice" finds items that contain both words.
Can I jump from search results to the original page?
Yes.
From a search result, you can open the page connected to that item.
This makes it easy to find information first, then go straight to the page where you need it.
Can I filter by creator?
There is no dedicated creator filter, but you can search by entering the creator's name as a keyword.
You can also combine a name with dates or other keywords to narrow the results.
Can I filter by date?
Yes.
You can filter by creation date.
This is useful when you remember something like "I think I made it last week" or "I added it around that time."
You can also download search results in bulk, up to 10,000 items at a time.
15. 💾 Data Management
Where is my data stored?
It depends on whether you have created an account.
- Before sign-up — Data is stored only inside your browser
- After sign-up — Data is stored on LINCOO servers and can sync across devices
LINCOO servers are located in the United States or Singapore.
Even after signing up, we recommend exporting important data from time to time as your own backup.
Can I export data?
Yes.
You can export items as a CSV file from the item list.
This is useful for records, backups, or moving information into other materials.
LINCOO currently supports export only. CSV import is not available.
Can I restore deleted data?
Deleted data can be restored for a limited time.
- Free plan: 30 days
- Pro plan: 3 years
On the Pro plan, audit logs and edit history are also kept for 3 years.
For safety and misuse prevention, fully removing deleted data from the server takes at least 30 days.
Is there a storage limit?
On the free plan, each space can have up to 10,000 items total. Deleted items do not count toward this limit.
On the Pro plan, there is no item limit.
What happens to my data if I leave a space?
Items belong to the space, not to an individual member.
If a member leaves, the items they created remain in the space.
Items are deleted only when the space itself is deleted. After a space is deleted, its items are deleted after a certain period.
16. 🔒 Security & Privacy
Is data encrypted?
Yes.
All data is sent and received over HTTPS.
Passwords are not stored as plain text. They are securely hashed using bcrypt, which converts them into a form that cannot be restored to the original password.
What if I forget my password?
Use Password Reset on the login screen.
Enter your registered email address and click Send Reset Link. Then open the reset link and set a new password.
If you use Sign in with Google, you do not have a LINCOO password. Please continue signing in with Google.
How do I change my password?
Click the extension icon and open Settings.
From Settings, you can change your password, profile, and email address.
Can LINCOO help detect unauthorized access?
Yes.
On the Pro plan, LINCOO includes security features that help prevent unauthorized access.
For example, you can:
- Receive email alerts for logins from unusual IP addresses
- Allow login only from approved IP addresses
- Restrict login by region, time, or device
- Block access through anonymization services such as VPNs or proxies
Is my data shared with third parties?
No.
LINCOO does not provide user data to third parties, except when required by law.
LINCOO is also designed with privacy in mind.
We do not save the URLs of pages you simply visit. A URL is saved only when you choose to connect an item to that page.
We do not automatically collect page content, such as text or images, and we do not track your browsing history.
Where can I read the privacy policy?
You can read the privacy policy here: https://lincoo.app/privacy.html
Does LINCOO support two-factor authentication?
LINCOO does not currently provide its own two-factor authentication.
If you want stronger login security, we recommend using Sign in with Google and enabling two-factor authentication on your Google account.
17. 🔔 Notifications
When do notifications appear?
LINCOO notifications mainly appear on toolbar icons.
They appear for:
- Items addressed to you — For example, stickies, tasks, comments, or mentions meant for you
- Items available on the current page — For example, bookmarks, memos, or page notes connected to the page you are viewing
Important system announcements may also appear directly on the page.
Can I turn off notifications?
Toolbar notifications disappear when you hide the toolbar.
Stickies are designed to be noticed, so if the extension is enabled, stickies appear according to their display settings.
If a sticky gets in the way, you can snooze it temporarily or mark it as done.
Are there email notifications?
LINCOO does not send email notifications for everyday activity such as mentions or comments.
Please check those from the toolbar.
Emails may be sent for things like:
- Important announcements
- Promotional information
- Pro plan security alerts, such as unusual login activity
Do I need to allow browser notifications?
No.
LINCOO does not use desktop browser notifications, such as pop-ups in the corner of your screen.
You can check updates through toolbar icons and on-page displays.
18. 🛠️ Troubleshooting
Three basic things to try first. Many issues can be fixed with these simple steps: (1) Reload the page, (2) Sign out then sign back in, (3) Fully close your browser and open it again. If those steps do not solve the problem, check the sections below.
I cannot log in
Please check the following:
- Make sure your email address and password are entered correctly
- Check for extra spaces or full-width characters
- If you registered with Google, use Sign in with Google
- If you forgot your password, use Password Reset on the login screen
I get logged out right after logging in
Possible causes include:
- Cookies are restricted in your browser
- You are using incognito or private browsing mode
- You were logged out automatically after a long period without login
- Pro plan security settings may be blocking your access
Please check your cookie settings and sign in again.
If you think Pro security settings may be the cause, ask your space admin to check the settings.
Stickies are not showing
Stickies appear only when their display conditions match.
Please check:
- Whether you are included in the sticky's visibility settings
- Whether the target URL and match type match the page you are viewing
- Whether the sticky is snoozed
- Whether the page has reached the display limit of 5 standard stickies and 3 large stickies
You can check hidden, snoozed, and past stickies from the sticky list.
The item list is not showing
This is often caused by a temporary connection issue.
Try the basic steps at the top, especially reloading the page. Also make sure you are connected to the internet.
The invitation email is not arriving
Please check:
- The spam or junk folder
- Whether the invited email address is correct
- Whether the invitation has expired
Invitations are valid for 7 days. If it has expired, ask the admin or manager to send a new one.
I cannot add a member
Please check:
- Only admins and managers can add members
- The space may have reached the 999-member limit
- The invited email address may be incorrect
My edits are not being saved
Please check:
- Your internet connection
- Whether you exceeded a character limit
- Whether you have permission to edit the item
For example, memo bodies can be up to 3,000 characters, and sticky details can be up to 500 characters.
The extension icon disappeared
The icon may simply be hidden from your browser toolbar.
Try this:
- Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in your browser toolbar
- Find LINCOO in the list
- Click the pin icon next to LINCOO to keep it visible
If LINCOO does not appear in the list, it may have been disabled or removed. Please check your browser's extension management screen.
I see a "context invalidated" error
This can happen when a page remains open after the extension has been updated or reloaded.
Reloading the page usually fixes it.
After updating LINCOO, please reload any tabs that were already open.
Pages are loading slowly
Please check:
- Your internet connection
- Whether many other extensions are running
- Whether you have many browser tabs open
If the problem happens only on specific pages, please contact us.
19. 🌐 Browser & Extension
Can I use LINCOO in browsers other than Chrome?
LINCOO currently supports:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge, Chromium-based
We recommend using the latest version.
Firefox and Safari are not currently supported. Future support has not yet been decided.
Can I use LINCOO in incognito mode?
LINCOO is not guaranteed to work in incognito or private windows.
Cookies are often restricted in incognito mode, so login may not stay active.
We recommend using LINCOO in a normal browser window.
If I uninstall the extension, will my data be lost?
If you have created an account, your data is stored on LINCOO servers. Uninstalling the extension will not delete it.
You can reinstall the extension, log in, and continue using your data.
If you are using LINCOO as a guest, your data is stored only inside your browser. In that case, uninstalling the extension may delete your data.
If you are using guest mode, we recommend creating an account before uninstalling.
How do I update the extension?
The browser updates the extension automatically, so you usually do not need to do anything.
If you want the latest version right away, you can update it manually from your browser's extension management screen.
After updating, reload any open pages to use the latest version.
20. 🏢 Business & Team Use
How do we deploy LINCOO at a company?
Getting started is simple.
A representative creates a space and invites members by email address.
Most standard features are available on the free plan. The free plan includes up to 3 groups and up to 10,000 items per space, with no time limit.
We recommend starting free, then upgrading to Pro when you need unlimited use, advanced admin controls, longer history, or stronger security.
With roles and groups, you can organize information by department, project, or team and show each person only the information they need.
Does LINCOO support SSO?
LINCOO supports Sign in with Google.
If your company uses Google Workspace, members can sign in with their Google accounts.
Currently, Google sign-in is the only supported SSO option.
Can we pay by invoice?
Currently, payment is by credit card only through Stripe.
Invoice payment, including bank transfer, is not currently supported.
Is there a user limit?
Each space can have up to 999 members on both the free and Pro plans.
If you would like to use LINCOO with 1,000 or more people, please contact us.
Do you provide a Data Processing Agreement?
Yes.
If you need a Data Processing Agreement, please contact us through the contact form.
Can we check audit logs?
Yes.
On the Pro plan, you can view audit logs.
Records of who did what and when are kept for 3 years. You can also export them as a CSV file.
What is the difference between the free plan and the Pro plan?
The main differences are:
- Unlimited items and groups
- Longer audit logs and history
- Deleted data recovery for up to 3 years
- Advanced security features
- No ads
See Chapter 2 for more details.
Are there business discounts?
LINCOO is a monthly subscription at the listed price.
There is no standard business discount, but we may offer discounts through support campaigns.
What are the benefits of using LINCOO at work?
LINCOO displays information directly on the browser pages where work happens.
This can help teams:
- Spend less time searching — Manuals and notes appear on the page where they are needed
- Reduce missed messages — Important stickies stay visible until they are cleared
- Keep information together — Store stickies, memos, notes, and bookmarks by page
- Connect work tools — Move between related pages with one click using mutual bookmarks
- Make training easier — Leave guidance directly on the screens new staff use
- Prevent forgotten tasks — Use scheduled stickies and snooze to bring reminders back at the right time
- Start quickly — Just install the extension; no special setup is required
- Make adoption easier — LINCOO works on the browser pages your team already uses
